Ok, I should have noticed there was no indication as to there being waterproof or not. Having now done a little digging I realise that they are available in a waterproof version. So I find myself with a pair of , not just the non waterproof version, but a par that have sponge like qualities . Having walked over damp grass my feet became soaked within seconds. They are now useless to use until they have dried out.
