The abrasion-resistant Vibram XS Trek Evo outsole offers excellent traction and is specifically designed for hill walking, making the shoes comfortable to wear even when carrying a fully packed walking backpack. These boots from scarpa were immediately comfortable and fairly lightweight..just returned from 5 days of brutally wet hiking over lakes fells and flooded rocky paths...feet pretty much immersed in water and peat all day... awesome...these boots from scarpa excelled in all ways...not one wet sock !...I've owned a pair of trusty Meindle Bhutans for 10 yrs , took them for back up but not needed .....highly recommend these from Scarpa
